Joseph O. Legaspi, a Fulbright and New York Foundation for the Arts fellow, is the author of three poetry collections: Amphibian (Northwestern University Press, 2026); Threshold and Imago (both from CavanKerry Press, 2007 and 2017); and three chapbooks: Postcards (Ghost Bird Press, 2019), Aviary, Bestiary (Organic Weapon Arts, 2014), and Subways (Thrush Press, 2013). His writing has appeared in POETRY, American Poetry Review, World Literature Today, The Common, Best of the Net, the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day, and in multiple anthologies. A graduate of the Creative Writing Program at New York University and Loyola Marymount University, he works at Columbia University and teaches at Fordham University. He lives with his husband in Queens, NY.
